It is also our choice how healthy are our kids eating since the day we become pregnant.
I used to blame my daughter to have unhealthy food. Lazy parenting. I was just lazy to be the parent and teach my views. I didn’t agree with the breakfast chocolate bar and pastry and the processed chicken nuggets but after a long day who has the energy to fight with kids to eat the broccoli.
Guilt or not it still didn’t feel OK. Especially that my diet was ruined as well. Who wants to cook 2 dishes…
One for dad
One for the children
And one for the wanna-be-healthy-momma…
I cook, and if daddy takes us for dinner or get takeaway, it will bring us just enough balance and harmony so no-one loses their mind and would kill for a pizza.
So I cook healthy. With a little practice, you can learn new methods, recipes that all family member love.
Always compromise and make slight adjustments, don’t be too hard and serious.
One apple is better than chocolate, but one chocolate a day doesn’t kill the child.
Find the balance.
